The Rural Community Immigration Pilot allows for a direct pathway to PR for those with a job offer from an employer who is approved by their designated community (see below). The list of designated employers will be listed on each communities website, as of today these have not yet been updated. I had hoped to write this blog when all the information was at hand but now, 3 day later, I feel that you should be getting your ducks into a row. Employers can apply to become designated and there is no cost to them to do so, so really, this could be worth your time to take a gander.
Ensure that you have your resume updated (Roz Fisher can help with that); Your highest education verified by WES; and your english language skills completed. Links to the above can be found on our website.
It is important to note, that these pilot programs are set up for the sole purpose of helping these rural areas grow by adding skilled workers who want to build a future in that community. Despite what anyone has ever told you to the contrary - if you apply and get permanent residence via ANY provincial program, you must show intention to settle in that community. There are those that believed that the constitution replaced the agreement with the province and figured to use the PNP as a stepping stone. They have or will soon find their PR's in question.
